Mörkret Elmax (S)
Mörkret (Elmax) is a powerful survival knife built for the most demanding tasks. The 153 mm full-tang blade in Uddeholm Elmax® SuperClean powder steel is 4.2 mm thick, combining extreme toughness with industry-leading edge retention. An uncompromising knife for those who demand absolute performance in the field.
Full-tang construction and uncompromising strength
Mörkret is a robust survival knife with a strong full-tang construction for maximum strength and balance, paired with Elmax steel for superior edge retention and corrosion resistance. The High Flat grind with a secondary bevel adds more steel behind the edge for increased strength during heavy-duty work. All materials have been laboratory tested for friction and impact to ensure a secure grip and lasting durability under demanding conditions.
For survival, bushcraft, and tactical use
Developed for situations where reliability is essential. Mörkret handles everything from batoning and wood processing to carving, building shelters, and preparing fire using the ferro rod–compatible spine, even in wet and cold environments.
Power Touch Grip and secure carry
Mörkret features a Power Touch Grip – a glass-fiber reinforced handle that combines a soft, grip-friendly feel with high impact resistance. It features ridges along the spine for improved grip when wearing gloves, and its larger texture pattern provides extra traction in cold and damp conditions. The lanyard hole makes it easy to attach cord or paracord. The ambidextrous Click-On sheath can be carried on either the left or right side and features a click-lock function that keeps the knife securely in place. The hole pattern is adapted for TEK-LOK accessories and MOLLE-compatible rails for flexible mounting. The LIBA Smart® belt loop functions as a dangler and features secondary locking that can be easily fastened and released.
Elmax powder steel with High Flat grind
The 153 mm long, 4.2 mm thick blade is made from Uddeholm Elmax® SuperClean – an advanced stainless powder steel developed for extreme wear resistance and edge retention. With a hardness of 60.5 HRC and excellent corrosion resistance, the knife maintains its sharpness up to five times longer than traditional steels, even during heavy use in wet and cold conditions. The spine is precision-milled, and the edge runs all the way into the handle for improved control and power transfer. The new High Flat grind with a secondary bevel adds more steel behind the edge for increased strength and durability. Use the sharpened exposed tang at the rear to scrape tinder or strike a ferro rod. If you don't want this feature, you can easily blunt it with a sharpening stone.

The faceted grind at the tip is a tribute to knife maker Carl Andersson, who became part of KJ Eriksson in 1961 – today known as Morakniv. The knife and all its components are made in Mora, Sweden, with 135 years of knife-making expertise.
