Whole Cloves are the aromatic unopened flower buds of the clove tree, with some of the highest quality cloves coming from Madagascar.
With an incredibly pungent aroma and bold flavor, Madagascar cloves are prized by chefs around the world. They are commonly used in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking, while in the United States whole cloves are often used to stud holiday ham.
Because of their intense flavor, cloves should be used sparingly.
