The Bull of the Bayou was designed by FINATICS Fly Company with one thing in mind — big redfish.

This is a substantial, heavily weighted fly built to give bull reds a big profile they can find. Long, flowing materials create plenty of movement, while a Large Lead Eye gets the fly down where it needs to be.

The Bull of the Bayou is tied on a premium Ahrex SA280 Saltwater Minnow 1/0 hook, giving the pattern a strong, short-shank platform with plenty of hook gap for big fish.

Up front, our own FINATICS Crab Trap Dubbing creates a full, buggy head that adds bulk and helps push water. The rest of the pattern continues the same philosophy: movement, profile and contrast without adding unnecessary complexity.
